Accessibilty

We strive to be accessible to everyone

Mobility aids are welcome at De Pont Museum. You can also borrow a wheelchair, walking frame, or folding stool free of charge from the reception desk. When booking, please let us know if you would like to make use of these, so that we can make the necessary arrangements for your visit.

Space for Everyone

Our single-storey museum is generously laid out, meaning most spaces are easily accessible to all. As the building occupies a historic former factory filled with character, not every room offers the same level of access. Within the constraints of this distinctive architecture, we do everything we can to make a visit to De Pont Museum as comfortable and straightforward as possible.

Two works in the De Pont Museum collection have limited accessibility for visitors with disabilities: Wachsraum by Wolfgang Laib and Wedgework III by James Turrell. If you have questions about access to these works, we are happy to discuss how we can make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

Companions

Visitors who are unable to move through the museum independently are welcome to bring a carer or companion free of charge.

Facilities

The museum has two accessible toilets, suitable for independent use. Two parking spaces for blue badge holders are available in the immediate vicinity of the museum, on municipal land approximately 100 metres from the main entrance. These spaces cannot be reserved.

The accessible parking spaces are located behind the white building, to the left of our own car park. To reach them, turn into the street opposite the monumental building named ‘Tramstation’ and bear right. You do not need to enter our car park.

Assistance Dogs

Visitors with a KNGF dog are asked to present their identification card. If your assistance dog is registered with a different organisation, please contact the museum in advance by email.
