Museum Garden

Tucked behind a brick wall is De Pont’s Museum garden. This lush, wild garden, hidden from the street, is an oasis of calm in the midst of industrial Tilburg. Accessible only through the museum café terrace, the garden offers space for undisturbed reflection on the collection and exhibitions, or simply to enjoy the greenery and the quiet.

A Green World Full of Calm and Wonder

Step into the garden and discover an intimate, enclosed world. Native species such as apple trees and evening primrose grow alongside exotic ferns and Japanese wineberry. Since 2002, garden designer Kazumi Makino has carefully tended the balance between Eastern and Western flora, resulting in a remarkable diversity of plant species unique in the Netherlands. Each season brings a new interplay of colours, scents, and textures, making every visit to the garden a different experience.
