PUNCH x De Warme Winkel

In the performance DRAMA Rosie Sommers and Micha Goldberg bring their forces together with Ward Weemhof (De Warme Winkel). And they top it off with bringing in the powerful performers Milan Mitera and Manizja Kouhestani. 

For the work in progress showing at Punch four performers, dressed as employees at the museum - such as curator, cleaner, PR assistant - are having an absurdly long discussion on the hot topics of today, using the logic of today's deeply polarized discourse around identity, ideological conflicts and international justice. They desperately search for the right statements, but seem to freeze into an "epistemic paralysis" 

While these contemporary topics are being chewed on, characters of the theater history like Hamlet, Donna Juana and Ophelia appear with their recognizable inner conflicts and share them bluntly through one-on-one performances for the strolling visitors. 

DRAMA is a vibrating theatrical happening that examines and places a magnifying glass over how we argue, how we word and position ourselves in a contemporary society that throws us without precaution in between real and fake, right and wrong. Prepare for a whirlwind of theatrical friction that storms into the secular temple of the museum with a shameless bravado
